These are the results of the tournaments of Gilli Danda at Basque Country of the last two years. The Basque Association of Beach Tennis and Minority Sports organizes basque tournaments since january of 2018 when we became a member of Gilli Danda International Federation (India). Normally we meet at Bilbao to play to Gilli Danda. Our idea is to organize every year the basque tournament and the basque league. We usually make 2-4 teams for these tournaments but people don't usually play in the same team, they change the team. According to the women and men that come to play we make more or less teams than the previous tournament. Here you have the results, leaderboards and some photos.

III. Basque League of Gilli Danda 2024-2025 (after fourth session)
The 2nd of september we played the fourth match of the III. Basque League of Gilli Danda. We made again two teams, Astindu and Gogorrak., and this time Astindu beat Gogorrak like the last match; 24-10. Few players, 4 players. Astindu continues in the first position. In october we will play the last match of this league.

The 15th of march we played the third match of the III. Basque League of Gilli
Danda. We made again two teams, Astindu and Gogorrak., but this time Astindu beat Gogorrak 33-28. We use a new gilli and a new ganda. Few players. Astindu is again in the first position.

The 21th of november we played a second match of the III. Basque League of Gilli Danda. We made again two teams, Astindu and Gogorrak., but this time Gogorrak beat Astindu 18-7 and it became the new leader of the league. In the next match we will see what happens.

The last tuesday, 17th of september, we played a new and the last match of Gilli Danda for the III. Basque League in Santutxu. We made two teams and Astindu beat Gogorrak 13-5. I great match between twoo good teams and very intensive. Astindu with this victory start in the first position the II. Basque League of Gilli Danda.

VII. Basque Tournament of Gilli Danda (second session)
The last tuesday we played the second and last session of the VII. Basque Tournament of Gilli Danda. This time we met in the basketball court of Elorrieta in Bilbao (Basque Country).
We played a better much and we hit better the gilli this time. Astindu beat Gogorrak 29-10 and won the VII.Basque Tournament of Gilli Danda.

VII. Basque Tournament of Gilli Danda (first session)
Yesterday we played the first session o a new basque tournament of gilli danda. This time we met in Artazar park, in Leioa (Basque Country).
We gathered just 6 players and we made two teams. Astindu against Gogorrak. It was a close match with few points. Players weren't be able to hit the gilli. Finally, Astindu beat 3-0 Gogorrak. The 3th of september the Basque Association of Beach Tennis and Minority Sports (Gilli Danda section) will organize the second and last session of the VII. Basque Tournament of Gilli Danda.

The last saturday, 27th of april, we played a new and the last match of Gilli Danda for the Basque League. We made two teams and Astindu beat Gogorrak 94-47. I great match between two good teams.. Astindu with this victory won the league.

IV.Basque League of Gilli Danda 2023-2024
The last wednesday we started the IV.Basque League of Gilli Danda. We met 4 players and we made two teams of two players. Gogorrak and Astindu. Maximo, player of Gogorrak, played very well and he hit very well the danda. Finally Gogorrak won 59-22 to Astindu and start the league very well, in the first position. In january we will play the second session of this league.

We gathered 5 players in the fronton of Santutxu (near Lidl supermarket) and we played a match of Gilli Danda. It was a beutiful match, every equal and finally won Astindu to Gogorrak. Astindu won the VI.Basque Tournament of Gilli Danda.
